  • The Energy Saving Trust is one of the UK’s leading organisations set up to mitigate the damaging effects of climate change. It aims to cut carbon emissions – a contributor to climate change – by promoting the sustainable and efficient use of energy, water conservation and waste reduction in the home.

    To promote sustainable energy use, the Energy Saving Trust have created a Carbon Cutter calculator that helps measure your carbon footprint and provides a personalised action plan to help fight climate change.

    Additionally the Energy Saving Trust has invited families to submit their own 'Home Truths' videos describing their commitment to reducing energy consumption at home. Watch a selection of these videos to the right.

  • Waste Watch is a leading UK environmental charity working to change the way people use the world's natural resources. Waste Watch have published an online library that provides in depth information on waste and provides tips on what families and communities can do to reduce waste at home and at work.

  • Waterwise is the leading authority on water efficiency and is focused on reducing the amount of water we all waste at home and at work. The Waterwise website contains useful information on reducing water waste in the UK and provides a range of 'Quick Tips' to help both individuals and communities use water in a more sustainable way.
